An Online Space for Wellness and Healing through the Power of Restorative Movement
Welcome
About Us
Mouvman Rx is an online restorative movement collective for black folks to connect. Together, we are reclaiming our wellness through the power of Movement as Medicine.
Practices like dynamic stretching, bodyweight strengthening, mobility exercises, and more can be developed into an individualized program that will restore proper alignment and healthy movement of the body. This will relieve or eliminate pain, as well as reduce wear and tear on the body.
Restorative movement is a way to get fit while using alignment, reflexes, and the wisdom of the body to restore our bodies to optimal wellness.
Our intergenerational movement experiences are designed for all levels of fitness.
Movement as Medicine
What does Movement as Medicine mean?
Most of us think of medicine as a profession or a pill or shot. But the definition of medicine really includes all things that support the maintenance of health and the cures for dis-ease.
Your body is designed to move. Restorative movement is focused on techniques that support and improve posture, alignment and mobility.
It will help you…
- Rebalance Your Body
- Regulate Your Emotions
- Recenter Your Mind
- Restore Your Spirit

- toning,
- improving posture,

If you’re suffering from an injury, are in rehabilitation due to surgery, or suffer from chronic pain or an illness—it’s important to get the ok with your health care professional before starting any new exercise regimen. We have clients recovering from a variety of health issues who use our techniques on a regular basis and who have been helped by restorative movement.
To heal an injury, blood flow into the injured area activates healing. Safe movement (in your pain-free range of motion) is one of the fastest and most effective methods of delivering blood to specific regions, which is why it is so effective in assisting injury healing.
If you’ve been sedentary for some time and wish to incorporate some form of exercise into your daily routine—you’re in the right place! Restorative movement is gentle and safe.
We recommend you work in your own range of motion, paying attention to what you feel in your body. Over time you will build body awareness and will be in tuned to the fitness needs of your body. We have workouts to suit all ages and fitness levels.
